Airborne Measurements

TestTech uses custom modified Wavetek CLM-1000 frequency agile measurement receivers in the air, together with a low noise RF GaAsFET preamplifier from the ARR range (typically 0.5 NF, 24dB gain) and a Digital Communications Inc 4-Pole bandpass filter. The RF amplifier and bandpass filter are custom designed for the frequency of measurement to ensure the best possible results.

TestTech has developed software to link absolute signal input levels to positional information provided by the GPS satellite navigational system, which is fed to a notebook computer running specialised software. Sophisticated mapping techniques can portray the leakage signal levels measured in a variety of formats.

The airborne flyover equipment can also be installed in a ground vehicle to permit the comparison and verification of flyover measurements which would also be linked to GPS positional information.
