Ground Measurements

TestTech may require the injection of pilot-signal(s) or a video carrier tag at the head-end or other relevant network point to facilitate the process of leak finding on the ground subsequent to a flyover or as an individual exercise. TestTech uses the Trilithic portable Leakage Detector an ingress locator unit for finding individual leaks.

Where accurate field strength measurements on the ground are required to verify network conformity with a limit contained within a standard, more sophisticated equipment is required and a spectrum analyser and calibrated antenna would be used.

TestTech can also mount the airborne equipment in a ground vehicle if a comprehensive ground based test programme is required, for obtaining leakage levels with accurate positional information.
